Fue una de las estrellas históricas del basquet en el mundo y una leyenda en la NBA. Kobe Bryant jugó por 20 temporadas en Los Ángeles Lakers y fue protagonista de la época dorada del equipo de baloncesto de la NBA. Uno de sus apodos fue "Black Mamna’ y ‘Vino’.

Kobe Bryant brilló en la NBA entre 1996 y 2016, y consiguió tres títulos seguidos (2000, 2001 y 2002). Fue uno de los máximos anotadores de la NBA por dos años consecutivos.

Kobe Bryant brilló junto a Shaquille O’Neal en Los Ángeles Lakers y hasta el momento mantenía el registro de cuarto máximo anotador de la historia, superado recientemente por Lebron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar y Karl Malone.

Kobe Bryant ganó la medalla de oro con la selección de Estados Unidos en el Torneo de Las Américas en Las Vegas en el 2007. Además, fue medallista de oro en los Juegos Olímpicos de Pekín 2008.

Asimismo, Kobe Bryant fue considerado como el mejor jugador de la década (2000-2010) Sporting News y TNT. Es uno de los jugadores con más presencias en el equipo (quinteto) ideal de la NBA en 11 temporadas de 20 como profesional. Fue convocado en 18 veces como jugador estrella de la NBA.

Accidente aéreo
